Canada’s highest court has upheld a ruling that obese people have the right to two seats for the price of one on domestic flights.

The Supreme Court rejected an appeal by Canadian airlines that opposed giving two seats for the price of one to people who were disabled or functionally obese.

matte, obese people have the right to comfortable seating. If that takes two seats on an airplane (and at one price), so be it. Kudos to Canada's highest court!

Yes they have the right to comfortable seating, but should pay the price.
They can travel business class and pay more for more room
But tall people don't get comfortable seating, so can i get the seat in front for free as well so it won't be reclined and damage my knees?

good point matte what of tall people...a seat should be removed to accommodate them... or people with overweight suitcases... how come a fat person carrying an extra 150pounds isn't charge the same as when my 50pound suitcase goes to 60pounds

political correctness gone mad.
But on the upside, if the inflatable chute fails to deploy, then maybe they can go first - at least everyone else will have somewhere soft to land - like a big tractor tyre inner tube.
