Monopoly Movie Takes Board Games to Big Screen

Ridley Scott, acclaimed director of classic films like "Blade Runner", is taking on a decidedly different project: producing (and possibly directing) a movie based on the Monopoly board game.
Ridley Scott will direct “Monopoly,” based on the Parker Bros. board game, for Universal.Screenwriter on the project is Pamela Pettler (“Corpse Bride,” “Monster House”).
From The Hollywood Reporter:
Ridley Scott, who has been attached as a producer on "Monopoly" and has been mentioned as a possible director, is now officially attached to helm the project, with an eye toward giving it a futuristic sheen along the lines of his iconic "Blade Runner."
Imagine the finished film, replete with a penultimate impassioned monologue, as follows:
PENNYBAGS: [Slowly, deliberately] I’ve seen things you people wouldn’t believe. Boots mortgaging property to tiny dogs. Apartments torched on Baltic Avenue just for the insurance money. I watched someone roll triple sixes and land on Free Parking where a Get Out Of Jail Free card had been tossed into the kitty. All those moments will be lost in time, like a bank error in your favor. Time to die. [As the rain continues to fall, he drops his head and silently expires.]

This photo was taken in Bozeman, Montana, in the JC Billion dealership store.
The actual Monopoly game board is FRAMED and hung on the wall as a picture!!!
The photo is not of a great quality, I was just fascinated by it and made a quick click. Now, I am very happy that you also took notice of it, find it interesting and probably useful for your movie.
For the purpose of using the image in the movie, I am ready to go back to JC Billion with a tripod and make a good photo for you :)
If you want me to do it, please write me on niravameen@gmail.com
Thank you very much, I am happy to share the image, but I'd rather make a better one for you !

I like the idea of monopoly, for after all its a person's idea that can create a monopoly...be it the game or in the real world.

Wade & I were invited to our friend's house tonight as they have just bought a new monopoly bored and asked us if we would like to help us christen it. Of course, we said YES. I was excited!
Before we go any further may I please tell you that I really do HATE monopoly. It is an endless, tiring game that turns you into a crazy real estate tyrant. But maybe that's just me.
So we rock up at our friend's house and get into it. 2 and a half hours later...I land on the most expensive and what does it have on it...3apartments...$9million please...
I am broke no real estate and I'm being a cranky pants. I HATE monopoly.
At least we all got a good laugh at my baby hissy fit!

monopoly has always been a classic yet favorite game that I have always played as a child. a few weeks ago, I went to a friends house just enjoying good friends and good company when my friend brought out monopoly. I was too excited and we immediately beginning playing and I fell on love with the game all over again.

Our cat Chino loves to "play" monopoly with us. He especially likes the dice and playing peices. I captured this shot on one of our many monopoly nights.
