Singer Bailey Rae's Husband 'Overdosed'

Preliminary reports indicate that the husband of singer Corinne Bailey Rae is likely to have died from a drug overdose.

The husband of soul singer Corinne Bailey Rae died from a suspected overdose, an inquest in Leeds heard.

The body of saxophonist Jason Rae, 31, was found in a flat in the Hyde Park area of the city on Saturday,

Deputy Assistant Coroner Roger Chapman said a pathologist's report pointed to a "suspected drugs overdose".

The inquest was adjourned to a date to be fixed so further investigations could take place. Mr Rae's body was released and a burial order made.

A 32-year-old man arrested on suspicion of supplying controlled drugs has been bailed pending further inquiries.

Mr Chapman heard the pathologist had formed a preliminary conclusion of a drugs overdose but that further tests were needed.
