IMHO I would say yes. Same as for exclusive. While is may be news on other media channels, if it is originagl writing the yes (my Floods in North Qld story is an example - I have taken fact from a number of mainstream media sources and created a totally new article.)

How bout "Editorial" or maybe even "Original".......Just kidding Matte.....Tee Hee!! Exclusive means NP is the first to bring it to the public which I'm sure will draw complaints.

If NP wants to "brand" the word "exclusive" to mean "written by a NP member" then that's one thing, but the word actually does mean that it's only published where it's listed as "exclusive."
"Original" would be a great flag so that those with their own blogs/columns/etc could highlight material as origional and leave it posted at their own location.
Dilatory I know; but I have to agree on the term difference. The issues with trying to track down if a story is original or not are one thing, proving that NP is the only carrier of a story is even more difficult.
Less important: On the note of an Exclusive/Original story...it might be useful to add a standardized image for these types of stories so that when someone blogs/links to said story, they can use an image to jazz up their site. I'm pro-text notation vs. image, but a lot of bloggers seem to favor images and icons. Just a thought.

I think we have a naming problem...the Exclusive formatting gives the wrong impression. It needs to be changed, IMHO.
One solution is to create a third category of story (Highlighted, Exclusive, and...?)
Suggestions?

"Original" would do. "Exclusive" gives the impression that only NP Editors or Administrators are the ones who submitted an originally written story.
