Buncefield Hemel Hempstead 2008, site of the massive Buncefield fire of the 11th december 2005. The shock of the blast was heard for miles.

A High Court hearing brought by a group of Buncefield residents from Hemel Hempstead Hertfordshire started on the 1 October 2008. It is set to last three months at the High Court in London. Joint owners of the Buncefield site Total & Chevron are at the Court hearing.

Buncefield resident like Ian Silvertsien who's home was destroyed as a a result of the explosion and blast on the 11th December 2005 are still fighting for compensation. Mr Silverstein home still stands in ruins three years on.

Buncefield victims are still fighting for compensation from oil company's Total & Chevron, while homes like Ian Silverstein still lay in ruins only yards from the Buncefield site.
