What are your views on this. It is a growing phenomenon. Statistics report that up to 25% of victims commit suicide !
It is a sad indictment on the state of society today, that people inflict mental torture on others, anonymously via the internet.
Myself and my partner have been victims of an online cyberstalker, who, when we found out who he was, realised why our stalker knew enough about us to successfully impostor one of us. He chose a very famous website that receives over seventy million hits a day, so a big audience for what he premeditatedly did over the past two years, leading to an official Police warning last July 2007, which was immediately ignored, leading eventually to being arrested twice in april 2008. Just before he was arrested, he published some information online, which made us realise that he had been planning this for years. We have an anonymous email from him in which he admits to us that he had hacked our computers and stolen personal information. What he published prior to his first arrest was information that proved he had stalked one of us before via yahoo messenger, in 2001. He enlisted the help of a woman accomplice on the website in question, leading also to her subsequent arrest in april 2008.
The problem did not go away. Right up until today we are still being stalked by known friends of theirs on the same website. It is a very long story, but if you are interested, you can read a blog that one of our stalkers began last week, by publishing an obscene image meant to be myself and my partner.

It is a very confusing blog at times, as the stalkers keep making inane posts to push the revealing stuff further down the blog, but if you get to read the whole thing and see the bigger picture, I would appreciate your feedback.

I'm not sure why this is here - this is not a forum post that relates to NowPublic.

Go read 'About NP' and after doing so, pray, tell me, are you the worlds arbiter of what is and what is not news. My publication is valid as news on cyberstalking. What is your problem ?
