I'm new to NowPublic and already I've received a long message from someone asking me to help them in their time of need to resolve an "investment" issue with a bank. Link is below in case tech staff can deal with it. Hope these junk postings don't continue. Would hate for my post to become another over-burdened message center for junk info.

itd be nice to be able to flag ads, too, i guess that people post as stories. i sort of respect that this site isn't on total lockdown but its headed in a pretty formal direction so what the he..ck.

This is largely in place already, Lefty. Editors and staff currently mark such pieces as spam, or if it's questionable (but receiving the benefit of doubt) point out that it could be construed as spam.

Thanks generaldecay - I would just like to add that if a spammer is persistent then we block their accounts and their e-mail addresses, and if it still continues, then we will block their IP addresses if necessary.
