It might be of use to have an "under development" flag/banner you can put on a story in which you are making adjustments to, so that people and editors know that the author/poster is working on it.

I presently write this myself at the top of things when I first post them, but thought it might be a benefit to the whole community to have a flag/banner like was created for "opinion" stories.
