Even though an article may be marked as spam, any images uploaded to accompany the "story" do not get flagged auromatically and removed. An example is this:

This gives spammer a way around the spam controls on stories, giving the guest editorial staff the ability to mark them as well. In fact, the profile is also spam filled with no flagging ability on there either:

Any thoughts?

I know there is a way to do this because I asked before...and was told how. I know there is...

Maybe there used to be and there is not now? Someone on staff want to chime in?

The only way I know of doing this is by blocking an account. So let us know when you find someone and we'll take care of it.

Sighs...if this were truly based on data being stored in relational database tables, it should be designed to happen automatically. Of course the only problem is that the spammers might include photos others have uploaded...

To clarify Ryan's comment, when a spammer's account is blocked, that account's media is deleted-- it's pulled from whichever stories it has been added to. Should a spammer have used another member's media, that member's media is not deleted; only the story to which it has been attached (in this case, the spam) is removed.

There is a way for editors to mark footages (photos, videos & audio) as spam, but it might be a bit hidden. On a story page, where there is a footage attached hover over the footage's title. A flagging `window' will appear, where it can be flagged like stories can be, although the interface may not be as friendly as for stories, and they might be glitches too. To remove, or in other words detach the footage from the story editors might can use the moderate tab on the story's page, where it can be removed from the story.
I have not tested if everything works as an editor, but dare to take a try.

Yeah! I knew you could still do it -a little different than before, but yes Editors (Guest Editors) can float over the image title when looking at the story and a small menu will pop up with spam as an option.

As a side note: GEs cannot moderate footage on a story, we don't have permissions for that. Actually, we cannot make any edits to a story, only NP Staff can. Not a big deal, I think it's "safer" that way.

I'm just a developer, and cannot know everything :). Lucky thing i developed that flagging system, and i know that it is still around. I do not know what permissions an editor has, although i can look that up, but i was too lazy to do that.

I was happy to help u with that.

Christopher, here's a prime example of what you're talking about.
