Of which there seem to be many, alas. I haven't had any myself, but perhaps my computer is just in a good mood.

Anyway, post here with your problems with highlighting and publishing, contributors. Hopefully, staff will be able to keep up with problems here, better than they would in individual posts.

Ah, yes... publishing! I'd say "don't get me started!", but we've already started, so here we go...

The root of the publishing error (in which text pasted from Word and OpenOffice vanish upon publishing) seems to be based upon the xml tags brought in with the original paste. Since it doesn't occur every time, or with every user (I can only replicate it maybe 1/20 of the time, but others get it constantly), it's proving hard to squash, but we're working on it.

One workaround is to first paste into an ASCII program such as Notepad or Wordpad or whatever you kids call it these days, and then re-copy/paste into the Story Detail box here on NP. What I do is just type straight into the Story Detail box, copying to clipboard as I go. (Ctl-A, Cmd-A on the Mac).
