What about having a topic where Wranglers can post an alert on questionable new members for the staff to vet?
here's one to start:

His post and comments raise my suspicions. Don't think he is who he says he is. It just bothers me.

The ladies took care of it. Your posted photo only added insult to injury.

Yep. The women handled it.

Uh, on second thought, maybe I wasn't wrong about that questionable member.

I wonder whether, rather than doing this on a public forum (where arguments are bound to ensue), if there's a way to report questionable members to the NV staff and editors privately. I know that the staff and editors have always been very welcoming of private messages about site issues, but I for one would feel uncomfortable (for want of a better word) sending off a stream uninvited private messages about questionable members.
However, if there was a system in place, a specified contact person for these matters, it might make things easier.
(This could well already be in place and I just don't know about it.)

Good points. Also, because staffers sometimes work at differing times on differing shifts, we truly don't know how much we can do by emailing one staffer, when we really want the entire staff to know our concerns.
An Ombudsman from membership, vs. staff, ranks might be feasible, as I suggested elsewhere. Otherwise we just fire off individual emails to editors who then respond personally, but without the force of policy. A designated Ombudsman could work within the system to make sure concerns are heard.
I'm getting a little tired of fake ID's, and remarks that are not just sexist, but downright lewd and crude, so much so that I've had male members of NP comment on it to me. Such crudeness isn't just a gender issue, but overall an issue of how NP wishes to be presented to the world.
And the problem seems to be growing.

I'd support and Ombudsman idea/philosophy...I'd also support a "locked/SE/GE/Wrangler/staff" forum -I know we once talked about that in the past when we were listing spammer accounts.
Sometimes it would be nice to say "anyone know _____? Are they just changing their style or are they really crazy?" or something like that :)

that sounds good. Maybe Wranglers could have a button to alert staff to questionable articles, comments and/or users, that isn't necessarily visible to non-staff, but perhaps to select . this would be a lot quicker than trying to post on the forum, or to email a staff member. That way staff could check these questionable pages quickly and deal with them.

Both very good ideas from Pep and Rene. I like the idea of an Ombusman and an 'alert button'. Perhaps, like the flagging system, there could be a way for us to enter also for the staff's eyes.

Helps staff if you report them too. here, since wronglers don't have a spam button.

the so-called spammer, is good for now public, if your not known by the marketers you have little value to the internet.

Seems to be some sort of grudge spammer, just power-blasting numerous posts that don't quite present a story:

Note: the text field with the Needs Improvement flag isn't working. Can't add in additional comments either.
