A little premature, but worth noting!

I will be in Chicago, IL (USA) the weekend of March 9-10 to cover a band's CD release show. That weekend is also a BIG 10 (college) basketball tournament. I'm not a sports buff...BUT if you were planning on a sports story about the tournament or know someone else that might at NP, please let me know if there is some footage you would like so I can plan accordingly.

Additionally, if there is any photos of the city, buildings (FBI for a government story), ethnic areas, other events going on that you would like...please let me know so I can try to snap some shots for you.

That's fantastic. Whilst I have no Chicago-area stories on the go, it's a great idea to take pics of places you visit, as visitors see citis differently than residents do. This is especially true if you're visiting somewhere off the beaten track.

For example, I have photos of bar toilet grafitti that border on the sublime, should anybody need them.

Bar toilet grafitti? why is this the first time we're hearing about this treasure-trove Jordan???

We put a HUGE amount of effort into getting shots of the CBGB toilets before the club was shut down...and only now we're learning about your stuff?????

Even Kaitlin is saying, "What's going on here?"

Sadly I have no surviving photos of CB's toilets, but they were even more heavily tagged than the walls. The ink, Krink, and spraypaint actually had a thickness.

Do NOT get me started on CBGB's. It's getting replaced with high-end rental apartments. The management company trots out the same ol' line about how another club will take its place... yeah, right.

I leave tomorrow at 12pm EST, please feel free to email me if something comes up that should be covered in Chicago or the surrounding area. I get email on my mobile so we can skype, call, email etc.

Otherwise...enjoy the weekend folks!
