2. Crowd-Powered Reporting is Better than the Best Hobby

If you jump in with a passion for telling good stories, a healthy curiosity about what is happening around you, and a willingness to ask good questions, you'll end up in places you never would have thought possible.

You'll do things that others will envy. You'll also tend to get into scary scrapes, if you are not smart and have poor survival instincts.
