9/19 Daily Word of Wisdom

"For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark,  and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be."

Matt. 24:38-39

People ignore the signs of the times and trust their own opinion and beliefs.  They think they are enlightened by casting off God's Word and living a life independant from the One who created them.  Just as in the days of Noah they will be swept away by a flood but not of water.  This flood will cause the world systems to collapse in an instance.  Those who do not trust in Jesus Christ will be in shock at their own demise.

bill hicks, I like this story. It's good stuff.

This site needs a little reality check.

Henry,

There is no "reality check" in religion.  Maybe a myth check, or a pompous mumbo-jumbo check, but religion and reality are diametrically opposed.  If you don't like this site I'm sure the lord will direct you to another one.

Ok, I understand now.  This is a self fulfilling prophesy.  Vote Repbulican, end the world, prove yourself right.

Jesus Christ has nothing to do with Republican or Democrat unless you are referring to Democrats lying more often, being pro-homosexual, pro-babymurder, pro-drug, pro-corruption.

As in the days of Noah so are you ignoring God the creator of the heavens, the earth and all creatures.  It will be funny.  Remember this on that day.

Imagine if this life were the real heaven.  It would be pretty ironic if you spent your whole life waiting for the end of days.

Isn't it impossible to ignore God?  Religion it seems to me is more about exclusion than inclusion. It will be funny for you when people die in God's wrath?  That is kind of sick.  Maybe you should keep this to yourself.

Actually if you go back to the beginning there were two trees:  the Tree of Life and the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.  The second tree had the forbidden fruit.  That fruit is religion, the knowledge of good and evil.  God has absolutely nothing to do with religion and in fact hates it.

And now for something completely different....

I just recently re watched an old Eddie Izzard DVD, where He talks about one slight tragic flaw in God's whole flood and start over scenario. Seems the fish in the sea and aquatic birds got a free pass from near oblivion down to "two" each.

Why would the son of god be refered to in matthew as the son of man? The first bible was written in ancient greek (the greeks conquered the holly land in 600 bc) and the greeks only had one word for son and the same word for servant (pios) in reference to gods messenger moses this word was translated as servant but in reference to jesus it was translated as son, why?

Jesus is both God and man.  He, God came in the form of a fallen man to conquer the enemy, Satan or Allah as you call him.

The aramaic word for god is allah, the name of the language that jesus spoke was... Wait for it... Aramaic . Are you claiming then Bill Hick that jesus followed the unimportant one ?
