Mumbai

Aug. 21: A key Dawood Ibrahim aide arrested from Thane Thursday claimed that the underworld don, for whom an Interpol warrant

is out for his role in the 1993 Mumbai blasts and who has been designated as a "global terrorist" by the United States, is living in Karachi.

Karimulla Khan, an accused in the 1993 serial blasts case now absconding for 15 years, said Dawood’s brothers Anees and Noora, and key aides like Chhota Shakeel and Tiger Memon, are also in Karachi, Mumbai’s joint commissioner of police (crime) Rakesh Maria said.

Karimulla Khan is a prize catch since he is one of Dawood’s trusted aides. He was arrested from his house at Nallasopara in the northern suburbs, where he was living with his wife and three children and working as an estate agent. He is suspected to have fled to Dubai soon after the blasts, and from there to Karachi. In 1993, he is believed to have transported RDX from Shekhadi in Raigad to the Memons’ residence at Mahim
