After failing to get the vice-presidential nomination from President-elect Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton could be made the new secretary of state in the new administration, according to reports.
The New York senator and former first lady is being considered for secretary of state by President-elect Barack Obama - an appointment that would go a long way toward healing the wounds left by their bruising Democratic primary battle.
Two Obama advisers confirmed Clinton is under serious consideration, according to NBC News' Andrea Mitchell.
Adding to the intrigue, Clinton was seen aboard a flight to Obama's hometown of Chicago on Friday, but aides insisted she was on personal business.
Officially, the Obama campaign has declined to discuss any of the administration positions that have not yet been filled and made public.

Thats really strange, how a presidential candidate , who had not been considered for even vice presidentship, can go for SOS.well they can accept anything to remain in power , it does not matterfor them whether at the center or cirumference.

An interesting thought... It would not be any worse than what's been going on the last eight years.
