McCain defends Obama to booing supporters
Character attacks on Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama have become virulent enough that even his Republican opponent John McCain is suffering from them.
McCain faced a booing crowd Friday for rebuking a man who said he would be "scared... to bring a child up" if Obama was elected president,"I have to tell you he is a decent person and a person that you do not have to be scared of as president of the United States," McCain said.
Rallies for the McCain/Palin campaign became increasingly inflammatory as audience members shout "terrorist," "liar" when Obama is mentioned.

It's amazing how much this election has become about character and personality - even more so than in previous years.

Every 4 years it appears that the attempts to part from issues and focus on Character and history has increased. One thing we learned in Psych 101, a persons past behavior is an excellent indicator of ones future behavior. The issue in this election are defocused as Both Obama and McCain have programs that there is no money available for. Thus if folks new the programs, they could do the math and realize that none of what is being promised will come to fruition.
BTW: I am covering Sen Grahams Debate on location saturday at 8pm ET. It will be carried by C-Span

Also reported heard at McCain Palin rallies: "Kill him!", "Treason!" and "Off with his head!"
That was very diplomatic of Senator McCain and he should be commended him for doing so but, it was long overdue.
Even if, as the McCain-Palin campaign has been saying, they were unaware of those types of comments were being made at the time they occurred, a more strongly stated denial was required from the campaign.
Let's hope the crowds gathering at McCain-Palin rallies become less mob-like in their demeanor, after reassurances from their candidate.

Obviously these statements do not reflect the views of the campaign. These statements are being heard on both sides but it get under reported on the GOP side. GOP rallys have been interrupted several times with inflammatory comments. It is awful to say the least. McCain was not going to allow himself to be linked with these comments. If you remember early in the campaign that an anouncer kept using the Term Hussian Obama. John Came out and condemded it as it was alluding that Barrack was some type of teriorist because he had a common name that happened to be equated to Sadaam Hussian. This is the type of man he is. That is why you didn't see him go after Obama in the town hall meeting last debate.

There have been reports of individuals at Obama-Biden rallies, shouting remarks calling for the death of Senator McCain?
If true, than obviously that should be strongly condemned. However, I find it odd, if this were occurring, that Senator McCain's campaign hasn't reported it.
Shouting out crude and rude remarks lacks a touch of class yet, there is a marked difference between rude and crude and utterances that suggest death.
Let's hope Governor Palin, who seems to have taken to her job with relish, the usually traditional duty included in the job description of the vice presidential nominee, acting as 'attack dog', tones down her terrorist talk and asking the crowd what should be done about it.

The Secret Service is investigating the incident involving the phrase "Kill him!" heard at a McCain-Palin rally.
The Secret Service did not become involved until a news agency brought the event to their attention. The Secret Service said until that time, they were unaware the incident had occurred.
The remark was recorded and heard on video by a member of a news crew, as were some of the other remarks at different times.
Another of the remarks was reported by news media to authorities.

In a new poll  nearly two thirds of troops in Iraq and Afghanistan do not support McCain for president and feel if he wins their time in these countries will be longer than shorter which will happen if Obama wins.

Please quote your source. I am sure they were able to get into the battle fields and provide a survey. Who handled it Zogby, CNN, FOX, Rasummusen... I know better.. so quote your source. BTW stick to the subject of the story.
